History

edit

Internet Vikings was founded in 2008 by Rickard Vikström[2] and Victor Jerlin. Initially, the company focused on SEO hosting and brand protection before transitioning to IT infrastructure solutions, specifically catering to the iGaming and sports betting industries. By 2018, the company had achieved sales of approximately 40 million Swedish kronor (€3.75 million).[3] In 2019, former Mr. Green CEO Jesper Kärrbrink joined Internet Vikings as Chairman of the Board.[3] In late 2019, the company expanded its offerings by acquiring Costa PBN[4] and securing a contract as the hosting provider for Green Jade Games.[5] The company opened a new office in Malta in 2020 and launched additional services, leading to a 30% increase in staff. In 2021, Internet Vikings shifted focus to the U.S. market, becoming a licensed hosting provider in several states, including New Jersey, Michigan, Colorado, and West Virginia. By the end of 2023, the company had operations in 22 U.S. states.[6] Internet Vikings continued its expansion in 2024, securing new state licenses and opening additional data centers.
