EwaMaru is part of the new generation of Moroccan Hip-hop. He has collaborated with various artists including 7liwa, Lbenj, ElGrandeToto, Chaimaa Jahid, and others.
Career
editEwaMaru (in Arabic: إوامارو), born Issam Attaoui (in Arabic: عصام عتاوي), is a Moroccan rapper from the new generation. He gained national prominence in 2022 with the song Cannabis..[1]
In February 2022, he performed the song Ayayay in tribute to a friend who passed away in October 2021.[2]
He has participated in several concerts in Témara, Harhoura, Salé with Moroccan artists such as Kouz1, Lbenj, and others.[3]
EwaMaru signed a contract with the record label Gold Vibe.[3] The song Mirror was released as a single in November 2022.
Personal life
editBorn on May 18, 1999, in Harhoura, Issam Attaoui grew up in Témara.[5] Since his teenage years, he has been battling depression.[6] He started playing guitar at the age of thirteen and writing songs.[7]
