DOZA is among the most influential underground rappers of the Albanian Hip-Hop Scene, over the years he has released more than 10 Albums that have amassed more than 10 million streams across all music platforms. Early life

edit

Mario was born in Tirana, Albania, his family lived in Tirana but migrated to Athens, Greece when Mario was 4 years old (1995), at the age of seven Mario attended the ''Marasleion'' Elementary School in Kolonaki, Athens, he was described by his teachers as a lazy student because he would never do his homework and he almost never payed attention in class, he was very shy and distant from other students and most of the time he would doodle and write on his books, notebooks, desk and even on his schoolbag, he did poor at math, chemistry and physics but did better at geography, biology and history, Mario performed different acting roles in the annual theatre shows that took place at the Marasleion showroom, he also did well at memorising poems and reciting them at the School organised National Holiday feasts, Mario was very good at essays, he would really go deep on the different subjects that he wrote about, his teachers noticed that by the time he was 9 years old and tried to motivate him to write more by showcasing his essays at the weekly school news-board, Mario finished his elementary education at the age of 11 (2002) and continued to attend the Marasleion Gymnasium for the next three years, at this time Mario would spent most of his time playing video games or roaming around the neighbourhood but he was not very social, in the summer of 2002 his family moved to Pangrati, Athens where Mario met his first friends Ledio and Giannhs, they would go out together everyday or gather at each others house to play video games, watch movies or listen to music, his friend Giannhs had a custom made data CD full of American rap songs, he would play that CD when they gathered at his house, the CD included songs from ''50-Cent'' , ''G-Unit'' , ''Eminem'' , ''DMX'' , ''2 Pac'' , ''Dr.Dre'' and many more, Mario was instantly hooked to the genre and began memorising the lyrics of the songs and tried to find more songs and albums from different sources, in 2003 Mario and his friends watched the movie 8 Mile and bought the soundtrack CD of the movie, Mario was hooked at the song ''Lose yourself'' by ''Eminem'' and was also inspired by ''Eminem's'' story, he would play the song every day repeatedly on the stereo while singing along and jumping around the house, eventually Mario and his friends begun to wear XXL clothing, inspired by the music videos that they watched, they begun to write their own rhymes but they had no idea on how to actually record a song or create a beat, in early 2004 Mario and his friends met 2Pt who was an experienced beat-maker and they bought five beats from him, 2Pt also helped them to understand the process of creating a song and also showed them the location of a local Recording Studio called ''Feedback Studios'', at that time they also met Tani who was interested in music as well and the four of them would hang out everyday and begun to think of a name for their crew, they initially named their crew A-Unit but changed it to Al-Quatro (AL-4) a few days later because the name A-Unit was similar to the famous Hip-Hop group ''G-Unit'', Mario at the time went by the name IceBlade, Al-4 recorded the song Prezantimi in 14 of September 2004 and they shared the song with their close friends and schoolmates via CD or from phone to phone via Bluetooth & Infrared, Al-4 received positive feedback from the few people that heard the song and were encouraged to create more.
