Draft:Cobourg community centre

[1][2][3]The Cobourg community centre is a multi use facility in Cobourg, Canada. The facility is used primarily by the Cobourg cougars, and Cobourg Kodiaks.

the "ccc" for short, was built in 2011 to replace the nearly 60 year old memorial arena on furnace street. The ccc contains two ice pads, two gyms, and many outdoor soccer fields. The bowl pad the cougars play on, is commonly said to be the most iconic OJHL rink it Ontario. The bowl, contains 2,000 seats for cougars games, an NHL sized rink, a canteen, a walking track (not used during cougar games.) and a pair of washrooms all used primarily for cougars games. The benches are located across the pad from each other for obvious reasons. There is a walkway between the pond and bowl which allows any away teams to use the pond dressing rooms 1, and 2, which are quite a bit bigger than any of the bowl rooms. In January of 2024, an all digital score clock replaced the 13 year old original one. The pond, is the second and used more by minor hockey, is also NHL sized, and contains 150 seats.[4]

The CCC is located at 750, D'Arcy st, just north of the tracks. Besides the two arenas and gyms, there are many soccer fields, some right by the arena, and some by the northumberland soccer club office closer to the tracks. Along with the bowl and pond, and the gyms, there is one conference room by the pond, and two other multi use rooms by the bowl.
