Anurradha Prasad (born 8 December 1962) is an Indian journalist who serves as the Editor-in-Chief of News 24 and the Chairman and Managing Director of BAG Networks.[1][2][3]

Early Life and Education

Prasad was born in Patna, Bihar,[4] into a Chitraguptvanshi Kayastha family. Her father, Thakur Prasad, was a senior advocate at the Patna High Court and a founding member of the Jan Sangh, the predecessor of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[5] Her brother, Ravi Shankar Prasad,[6][7] is an Indian politician and lawyer associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party.[8] She completed her master's degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi.[9]

Career

Prasad has had a distinguished career in journalism and media. She has been recognized for her contributions to the industry, including being inducted into the Indian Television Hall of Fame.[10] She has also been active in various media associations, having been re-elected as President of AROI (Association of Radio Operators for India).[11]

Personal Life

Anurradha Prasad is married to Rajeev Shukla.[12][13][7], a Congress politician and the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).[12]
