Yoon Do-woon (Korean: 윤도운; born August 25, 1995),[1] known mononymously as Dowoon, is a South Korean musician, singer, songwriter, and drummer. He is best known as the drummer and vocalist of South Korean pop rock band Day6.

Early life
editYoon Dowoon was born on August 25, 1995, in Seoul, South Korea.[2] He has an older sister.[3] He attended Busan Arts College.[2]
Career
editYoon was one of the fastest debut trainees in JYP Entertainment. He only went through 3-month trainee life before debuting.[4]
On September 7, 2015, Yoon debuted as one of the members of Day6.[5] The group released their debut EP, The Day, with the lead single "Congratulations".[6]
On March 14, 2018, he made his Japanese debut as a member of Day6 with their Japanese single "If ~また逢えたら~".[7]
On August 31, 2020, Yoon alongside Young K and Wonpil debuted as Even of Day, a sub-unit of Day6, and released their debut EP The Book of Us: Gluon.[8]
On September 27, 2021, Yoon made his solo debut with a digital single entitled "Out of the Blue". He participated in the lyrics writing and composition of his solo debut song.[9]
Personal life
editOn December 28, 2021, Yoon announced his enlistment through V Live Broadcast.[10] He enlisted on January 17, 2022, and later served as a member of the military band. He was discharged on July 16, 2023.[11]
