The Central District of Taleqan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان طالقان) is in Taleqan County, Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Taleqan.[3][a]

History
editIn 2010, Savojbolagh County was separated from Tehran province in the establishment of Alborz province.[4] Taleqan District was separated from the county in the establishment of Taleqan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Taleqan as its capital and only city.[3]
