The Central District of Aliabad County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان علیآباد) is in Golestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Aliabad-e Katul.[3]

History
editAfter the 2011 National Census, the villages of Mazraeh[4] and Sangdevin[5] were elevated to city status.

editAt the time of the 2006 census, the district's population wasAt the National Census in 2006, its population was 89,204 in 21,632 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 95,462 people in 27,211 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 97,957 inhabitants in 30,060 households.[2]
