editPre-Republic of Ireland elections
editShould we put up a notice telling readers that the elections to the first and second Dáil were Ireland-wide, and the name was not "Republic of Ireland" (but "Irish Free State") before 1949? — Instantnood 18:06, Apr 24, 2005 (UTC)
- The Irish Free State existed before 1938 and not after. From 1937 to 1949 the Republic of Ireland was called "Ireland" and this remains the states official name. Djegan 15:43, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
Change of government in 1994
editPerhaps the change of government in 1994 without an election should be somehow displayed on this page.
