It isn't clear why Archbishop Joseph Raya is listed here. Although he was serving in the US as a priest at the time of his election to the episcopate, he was not American born and never served as a bishop in the US. By comparison, Archbishop John Bassoul is not listed. He was also serving in the US at the time of his selection as a bishop and was even ordained to the episcopate in the Latin Archdiocese of Boston's Cathedral of the Holy Cross, prior to departing to take up his episcopal post in the Middle East.
