This category is for television series that feature musical numbers that are a predominant part of the program, complete with a storyline, following a concept similar to a Musical film. This category does not include talent contests or reality series (such as American Idol, The Gong Show, etc.), programs that feature a showcase of established musical talent (like Austin City Limits, Soul Train, etc.), or special "musical" episodes of non-musical series (like Once More, with Feeling, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
