Evanov announced on September 5, 2024, that the station, along with CHRC-FM in Clarence-Rockland and CJWL-FM in Ottawa are to close effective September 20, 2024 due to " a difficult media climate, and the residual effects of the pandemic."[1] Days before the deadline, however, a deal was announced with the Radio communautaire Cornwall-Alexandria cooperative, the licensee of CHOD-FM, to acquire CHRC and CKHK from Evanov, pending approval by the CRTC.[2]
