Bashar al-Zoubi (Arabic: بشار الزعبي), also known as Abu Fadi, is a Syrian general-turned rebel leader who defected from the Syrian Armed Forces. He became the leader of the Southern Front, the stronger of the two fronts of the Free Syrian Army, and as such, he was the de facto strongest leader in the national opposition. He was also the head of the Yarmouk Brigade.[1]

Al-Zoubi made his fortune in the tourism industry and hails from the powerful al-Zoubi clan.[2]
