Anthony Christopher Bahadur or Anthony Adur (born February 25, 1988) is a Canadian professional soccer player who played in the Canadian Soccer League, USL Premier Development League, S. League, Thai Premier League, National Premier Soccer League, and the North American Soccer League.

Youth career
editAdur played soccer at the high school level while enrolled in St. Elizabeth Catholic High School.[1] In his high school senior year in 2007, he helped the team produce an undefeated regular season.[1] He received the team's MVP award twice throughout his tenure at St. Elizabeth.[1]
In 2006, he began playing in the Ontario Soccer League the province's top amateur circuit with Cruz Azul Shooters.[2] He played in the league's Provincial East U21 division and was named the MVP.[2]
Adur played college soccer in 2008 with Lindsey Wilson College.[3]
Club career
editEarly career
editWhile playing with Cruz Azul Shooters he was called up by the club's parent team the Italia Shooters in the Canadian Soccer League.[4] In his debut season in the Southern Ontario circuit, he assisted Italia in securing a playoff berth by finishing third in their division.[5] The Italians qualified for the championship final after defeating Toronto Croatia in the playoff semifinal round.[5] Adur played in the championship match, where he scored the winning goal against the Serbian White Eagles.[6]
In 2008, he signed with the Toronto Lynx of the USL Premier Development League.[7][3] He played a total of 11 matches and recorded one goal.[8] After the conclusion of the PDL season he returned to the CSL to sign with North York Astros. He helped the club clinch a postseason berth and faced the White Eagles in the quarterfinals, but lost to a score of 2–1.[9]
Asia
editOn 3 February 2009 signed a contract with Sengkang Punggol FC in Singapore, and played with former Lynx teammate Murphy Wiredu.[10][11] In 2010, he signed with Maccabi Haifa in Israel, but was released six months later.[12] He then moved to Thailand to sign with TOT S.C. where he spent two seasons.[13] He had brief stint in National Premier Soccer League in 2012 with Zanesville Athletic FC.[14]
Canada
editIn 2013, he returned to Canada to sign with FC Edmonton of the North American Soccer League.[15][16] In Edmonton he featured in eight matches.[17]
In 2016, he returned to play with his original club the York Region Shooters, where he appeared in 8 matches and recorded 2 goals.[18] During the season, he won the regular season championship. In the preliminary round of the postseason he contributed a goal in 5–0 victory over Milton SC.[19] Their playoff journey came to a conclusion after suffering a 4–1 defeat in a penalty shootout to Hamilton City SC.[20] In 2021, he returned to the Ontario Soccer League to play with GS United.[21]
International career
editIn 2012, Adur entertained the option of representing the Trinidad and Tobago national football team in the country of his father's birth.[22]
