Amit Chachan (born 5 July 1984) is an Indian politician who currently serves as a member of the 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, representing the Nohar constituency. He is affiliated with the Indian National Congress party.

Amit Chachan was born on 5 July 1984. He pursued his education in Rajasthan, where he developed an interest in politics and public service.

Political career

15th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (2018–2023)

Chachan began his political journey by winning the Nohar constituency seat in the 15th Rajasthan Assembly. During his tenure, he actively participated in legislative proceedings, advocating for the welfare of his constituents. His commitment to public service earned him recognition among his peers.[citation needed]

In the 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election, Chachan secured an impressive 93,851 votes out of a total of 202,003 votes polled. His victory reflected the trust placed in him by the electorate.[citation needed]

16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (2023–present)

Following the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election, Amit Chachan was re-elected as an MLA from the Nohar Assembly constituency. In a closely contested race, he defeated the BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar Matoria by a narrow margin of 895 votes. [1][2][3][4]
