American University of Kuwait

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) (Arabic: الجامعة الأمريكية في الكويت) is a private liberal arts institution located in Salmiya, Kuwait. Founded in 2003, AUK officially opened its doors to students, faculty, and the public in September 2004. The university follows the American model of higher education, emphasizing a well-rounded, liberal arts curriculum. AUK maintains a close relationship with Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, as its international partner. The current President of AUK is Dr. Rawda Awwad.

Campus

The AUK campus is situated in Salmiya, one of Kuwait's most vibrant and cosmopolitan districts. The campus features spacious, modern classrooms; advanced computer, science, and language labs; an administration building; a state-of-the-art library; as well as a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops, and recreational courts.

To ensure the safety of its community, AUK provides 24-hour security services. The athletic facilities include tennis, padel, basketball, and volleyball courts, along with a soccer field and a fitness center.
