Morley ran in the 2018 Toronto municipal election in Ward 3 Etobicoke—Lakeshore, coming in second to Grimes.[4]

She ran again in the 2022 municipal election and was elected.[5][6] Morley received a number of endorsements from left-wing politicians including Toronto—St. Paul's Councillor Josh Matlow, former New Democratic MP Peggy Nash, as well as Ontario New Democratic MPPs Kristyn Wong-Tam, Bhutila Karpoche and Jill Andrew.[7]
