Al Gelato was an ice cream brand headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. Since 1984, the brand has been regarded as one of the "best" gelato places in Los Angeles. In 2016, the brand announced its shutdown to news sources, including the Los Angeles Eater.

In 1984, the brand opened. The restaurant gained popularity locally and has expanded to include meals, coffee, and other types of food. After rumors of closure, the brand officially announced its closure in December 2016 to local news outlets, including the Los Angeles Eater just after the 32nd anniversary.[1]

The restaurant includes different flavors of ice cream, including banana, chocolate, chocolate chip, mango ice, lemon ice, passionfruit, coconut, sour cherry, strawberry, pineapple, pear, etc. The place also offers sandwiches and Italian food,[2] with pies "the size of a young woman's head", spaghetti and meatballs with plentiful portions.[1] The place was also regarded as having a "cozy vibe".[1]
