Adhavan Rajamohan Govindarajah (Sinhala: අධවන් රාජමෝහාන් ගෝවින්දරාජා, Tamil: அதவன் ராஜமோகன் கோவிந்தராஜா; (born 21 February 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Swedish club IFK Haninge. Born in Sweden, he represents Sri Lanka internationally.[1][2]

He played primarily as a right winger at Akropolis IF and Degerfors IF, before transitioning to central midfield.
Early life
editAdhavan was born in Spånga, Sweden, to Sri Lankan Tamil parents.
Club career
editHe started at AIK's youth academy, which laid the foundation for his skill development before he moved to Akropolis IF in 2013. There, he made a name for himself over seven years, primarily as a winger, with 160 appearances and 46 goals. His consistent performance helped him move to Degerfors IF in 2021, marking his entry into Sweden's top-tier league, Allsvenskan.
Adhavan's next move took him beyond Sweden for the first time when he joined FC Paradiso in Switzerland, competing in the 1. Liga Classic. After his time in Switzerland, he returned to Sweden, joining Nordic United FC in Ettan Fotboll and later moved to IFK Haninge in Division 2 (Swedish football).
International career
editAdhavan Rajamohan received a call-up from Football Sri Lanka to join the national team camp in Qatar in 2022. He made his official debut for Sri Lanka in 2023 during 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC), playing as a defensive midfielder against Yemen in Saudi Arabia under coach Andy Morrison.
