Abdulmazhid Kudiev (Russian: Абдулмажид Амачевич Кудиев; born 13 March 2000) is a Russian-born Tajikistani freestyle wrestler of Avar origin who currently competes at 70 kilograms.[1]

Wrestling career

He is a native of the village of Tad-Magitl in the Ahvakh district.[2] In June 2014 in the village of Agvali at the republican tournament among young men in memory of Hero of the Soviet Union Kadi Abakarov became a bronze medallist.[3] In December 2016 in Kaspiysk he became a bronze medallist of the international tournament for the prizes of Kuramagomed Kuramagomedov.[4] In January 2019, he won the junior championship of Dagestan[4]. In September 2020, he became the bronze medallist of the Russian junior championship.[5]

Since 2023 January, he has been competing for Tajikistan. In early February 2024, he became a two-time champion of Tajikistan.[6] At the 2024 World Wrestling Championships held in Tirana, Albania, he reached the semi-finals of the men's freestyle 70 kg by defeating Mongolian Enkhtuyaagiin Temüülen 11–0 in the first round, Ramazan Ramazanov of Bulgaria 12–2 in the second round, and Iranian Sina Khalili 6–5 in the quarter-finals. He lost 13–2 to Kazakh Nurkozha Kaipanov in the semifinal. In the bronze medal match, he defeated Georgian Akaki Kemertelidze with a 13-2 technical superiority and won the bronze medal.[7]
