Mark Ceban was the reigning champion, but was no longer eligible to participate in under 14 tournament this year.[ 1] He received a wildcard into the boys' singles event where he lost in the quarterfinals to Maxim Mrva .[ 2] Takahiro Kawaguchi defeated Jordan Lee 6–2, 6–2 in the final.[ 3]
