Changes from last season
edit- Promoted to Indian Super League
- Promoted from I-League 2
- Relegated to I-League 2
Two years after disbanding the Indian Arrows project, the AIFF decided to field the under-20 national side to give them game time and prepare for the 2027 Asian Cup and 2026 Asian Games participation. The India U-20 national team would have got amnesty from promotion-relegation.[2][3] However, the plan was later dropped.[4]
