Previous season
editThe Buccaneers finished the season 19–16, 8–10 in SoCon play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They defeated VMI,[1] UNC Greensboro,[2] and Chattanooga[3] to advance to the championship game of the SoCon tournament where they lost to Samford.[4]
