Relegation round NLB/1. Liga
editThe last six teams in each of the two qualification phase groups competed in two relegation groups against relegation to the 1. Liga 1993–94. The teams received ranking bonus points from their qualifying groups (7th place 6 pts; 8th place 5 pts; 9th place 4 pts; etc). There were to be three direct relegations in each group and a play-out against relegation between the two third placed teams.
