Original Peder Severin Krøyer's 1888 work Hip, Hip, Hurrah! shows members of the Skagen Painters toasting, at the house of Michael and Anna Ancher. One of Krøyer’s best known works. The artist took a photography with his newly bought camera he purchased in 1885 during the garden party. Later he took the photo that captured the celebrating guests and painted a large scale painting after the photo.

Reason: Painting from 1888 by Norwegian-Danish painter Peder Severin Krøyer. It shows the members of the Skagen Painters gathered to a garden party; a group of Danish, Norwegian and Swedish artists who formed a loose artist community in Skagen. Pictured: (from left to right): Martha Møller Johansen and her husband Viggo Johansen (painter), Christian Krohg (painter) Krøyer, Degn Brøndum (art lover), Michael Ancher (painter), Oscar Björck (painter), Thorvald Niss (painter), teacher Helene Christensen, Anna Ancher (painter) and her daughter Helga Ancher
