Redirects don't need to be fixed

edit

Hi, Blueskiesdry. Regarding edits like this, please be aware that redirects do not need to be "fixed". Sometimes there's things we can learn from how often an adjectival phrase like free-content is used rather than the noun phrase free content, and meanwhile there's no real benefit in changing from one to the other. At best it's a cosmetic edit, which are discouraged. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy New Year and happy editing. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|she) 02:13, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

When I "fixed" the redirect, it didn’t even work apparently. It still said it redirected from free-content. Is there a reason for this? blueskiesdry (cloudy contribs…) 15:41, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Could you explain what you mean by it not working? If it took you to Free content but with the note "Redirected from Free-content", that is the redirect working as intended. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|she) 22:05, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
When I piped the link it still redirected even though I know I got the title right. Blueskiesdry (talk) 22:11, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
That may have been a caching issue. (I.e., when you saved the page, it actually gave you the old version from before you made the edit.) It happens sometimes. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|she) 01:02, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ah, OK. I got incredibly confused when that happened and was about to make a Teahouse post about it but it got reverted before I could. Blueskiesdry (talk) 01:03, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Try not to respond in a way unrelated to helping the newcomers, it can distract from the point. (not a big deal) Thanks, Geardona (talk to me?) 19:45, 8 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Blueskiesdry, you opened this GA review on 10 June, and haven't edited on Wikipedia since. If you haven't returned to do the review by 10 August, two months after it was opened, I will be putting the nomination back into the pool of unreviewed nominations, in the hopes that it can find an active reviewer that way. Alternatively, if you are around and plan to fully conduct a review in a timely fashion, please do so right away; if you don't, please let me know and I can proceed sooner. Many thanks.
