Re: Nothing (the user)
I was on RC, and saw Ryan Postlethwaite post some message on the AN. It's a bit ridiculous, the block. Userspace, isn't actually that bad of an idea, but I think the block overdid it. Basketball110Talk 02:13, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Basketball110, care to provide an explanation why my block is "a bit ridiculous"? I'd be interested in constructive criticism. I'm interested in being a better admin, not that I have no confidence in myself, but that there are ways anyone can improve at adminning. Maxim(talk) 02:17, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well Maxim, a ban is a pretty good idea, seeing as he didn't do anything for more than 3 days (constructively). But a block isn't a good idea, because he didn't exactly break any "WikiLaws" (policies). Basketball110Talk 02:19, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Nothing444 certainly did break some of your "WikiLaws". He's been disruptive to the encyclopedia, to put in short form. Or would you rather I regurgitate all the WP:X policies? Maxim(talk) 02:22, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I don't get it... could you clarify that last? WP:X redirects here. Basketball110Talk 02:30, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I would imagine Maxim is using X to donate a number of policies and guidelines that have been broken or, at the very least, stretched by Nothing444. May be best to take your concerns, if you still have them, to WP:AN where the rest of this discussion is taking place. George The Dragon (talk) 02:33, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I seem to have misplaced my concerns. I'll get back to you when I find them. :) Basketball110Talk 02:37, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Basketball, perhaps a friendly reminder that you somehow avoided an indefinite block for abusively sockpuppetting a few days ago is in order? You initiated this discussion by calling an admin's decision "a bit ridiculous," and did not even have the decency to inform the admin of your thoughts. George The Dragon (talk) 02:41, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have no intent in harming the encyclopedia (the encyclopedia is not userspace), and it seems to me that neither does Nothing444. Also, "abusively sockpuppetting" makes it sound like more than once. Basketball110Talk 02:44, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi - Speedy deletion
Earlier on you added a speedy tag to Septuagesimo Uno. It was removed by the creator of the article. Do you want to pursue that? Fattyjwoods (Push my button) 03:11, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Remove Myah OS
The Myah OS page has been a major pain since I first saw it. It was at first a very short and very wrong little paragraph about my project. I atempted to login and slowly change it to be a little more informative and accurate. But I have a lot of my own work to do. The page has been plaged with by a couple people that have never seen Myah OS never used Myah OS and never even visited the site. At first I placed in some release dates and other info. This was changed to different dates, release them selfs where changed even the development status was changed 2 or 3 times. These had no baring at all on Myah OS they were just people creating random changes. After one of them telling me that I was not allowed to give this information and that he seemed to know when I had released what version and where state they were in. I know sounds crazy but I guess he had a vision in his sleep or something. He started posting tags about having conflict and needing citations. I tried to ask about the citations with no answer ever. I have been driven crazy by this kid that doesn't have any interest in contributing to the article at all in any way. He is only interested in playing a tug of war with me. I am sure he does this with as many people that he can. I have asked several times for the page to be removed. Myah OS is a tiny project with the only info on any site coming directly from me in announcements. There is no info out there that doesn't come directly from myself. This means that there is no way any one can contribute to it unless the were to talk to me read though my forum or read my mind. Maybe if I was bigger there would be 3rd party people who know some info. But this is not the case. So I ask that this page is removed. Since any info posted is NOT true. And it seems no one wants the creator to update it. the page has turned into some kids little play ground and I would like people to actually have real info not rumors and games info. This kind of thing take for ever to discount. I have a site in asian that is still posting to this day that Myah OS is slackware even though it's not. I don't need wikipedia posting rumors that people take as fact so some kid can feel he controls others. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeremiah Cheatham (talk • contribs) 03:35, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Is Boston Red Sox a GA? Basketball110Talk 04:33, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I was looking over it yesterday, and just remembered that, and began to wonder. I found a few tasks to do around Wikipedia, and (like you have on your page) and making a to do list. Basketball110Talk 04:37, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. I'll have a look through your contributions a bit later in the day (not much time at the moment) and see if I can give some pointers. Regards, GBT/C 07:24, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
I must ask: an anonymous editor came in and reverted what was clearly both non-NPOV and obvious vandalism. You then re-reverted claiming "not vandalism" in your edit summary. I've been wrong many times, but I think this needs some clearing up. LonelyBeacon (talk) 07:25, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey, this is Sara. I saw your thing about redesigning your userspace, and wondered if you could tell me how to do it. My userpage is OK, but the first word I think of when I see it is plain. If you could tell me how to do something to make it look nicer, I'd be eternally grateful.

Wiki editing for....
You seem to be both experienced and interesting in editing Wiki articles.
I've found this article which is purely bad. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Music_workstation It has no citations, is factually inaccurate, and displays bias. I've added several tags and talk page comments explaining why this article is lacking.
What do Wiki editors do to remove totally incorrect and baseless entries? Is there a submission process for removal? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joenovice (talk • contribs) 19:02, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- The idea is that you change it yourself. If you are very unhappy with the current version, you should take extra care to find reliable sources for your changes. --Yooden ☮
Adding copyrighted information
I've removed your addition to the history section of Music workstation as it appeared to be an exact copy of what is included in the copyrighted Encyclopedia Britannica here. Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia George The Dragon (talk) 19:52, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Adding the references is good, yes. Take a look at this section of WP:COPY - "Never use materials that infringe the copyrights of others. This could create legal liabilities and seriously hurt the project. If in doubt, write it yourself.
- "Note that copyright law governs the creative expression of ideas, not the ideas or information themselves. Therefore, it is legal to read an encyclopedia article or other work, reformulate the concepts in your own words, and submit it to Wikipedia. However, it would still be unethical (but not illegal) to do so without citing the original as a reference" Thanks George The Dragon (talk) 19:57, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! This will help a lot. First, I would like to know about some of the tools here on Wikipedia. I was looking at my prefrences, and noticed a bunch of tools like Twinkle and Friendly. What do they do, and should I install any of them? Second, I'm looking for something to edit that I actually can contribute to beyond fixing grammar. Do you know anything that really needs some help? Last, how do you make a bulleted list? Right now I am using dashes instead of bullets.

Can I get permission to correct the spelling on your userpage? :-) The DominatorTalkEdits 03:16, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Done, sorry I'm really anal, just one thing, you say that you try to make good faith edits, but the definition of a good faith edit is an edit that tries to be constructive. So if you make a mistake, that is a good faith edit, even if it, for example, deletes an entire page, so the definition of "bad faith edits" is either vandalism or another attempt to destroy Wikipedia. The DominatorTalkEdits 03:24, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Caleb Haye
A tag has been placed on Caleb Haye requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Yooden ☮
- RyRy just edited this article, he did not create it so this speedy deletion notice isn't really that necessary. Also, it turned out to be blatant copyright infringement of this url: http://www.webdu.com.au/go/speaker-profile/caleb-adam-haye-berkeley-usa and was deleted under G12.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 06:04, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm honestly a bit baffled by your adoption efforts. I'm an editor from before the dawn of time, and I would not take on adoptees. You are here for less than two months; are you sure you are experienced enough to take on this responsibility? --Yooden ☮

Out of curiosity, why did you ask a question on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/EyeSerene? The point of the questions is to help gauge how good the person might be as an admin, so that you can leave an informed comment in the discussion section. While I'm going to refrain from commenting on the quality of the question now, you asked the question, got an answer, acknowledged that you saw the answer, but then didn't comment in support or opposition, or even neutral, of the candidate on the RFA. RFA is not supposed to be a general policy quiz, the questions should help the people asking them to decide whether or not to support the candidate. What was the point of your question? I just deleted the message you put on my talk page. Please don't break up a discussion by dispersing it across Wikipedia. Indiana Jones
The article looks good now, and it would be worth nominating for GA status if there wasn't so much to be added in the near future. If the plot section and information about the film's success (box office and reviews) is well-written and sourced, it should be very close to GA level (it may get put on hold for minor things, but it would pass easily if the reviewers' points were addressed). I hope this helps. GaryColemanFan (talk) 05:15, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
GAs
I noticed what you said here about wanting your first "GA success". To have a "GA success" you actually have to work on the article in question. I see no edits by you to Jackie Robinson or the Indiana Jones article you nominated. Sinply putting the articles in the GA queue doesn't give you credit for a "GA success". Metros (talk) 10:53, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Misunderstanding
RyRy, I'm afraid that you either misunderstood or have misrepresented something that I said. I read on another talk page (here: [1]) where you said that I had authorized you to have two adoptees. I think I've been fairly clearly that I don't want you to have any adoptees, but that I don't have the authority to make you stop. My feelings are at this diff: [2]. I do wish you'd release the adoptees that you have to another adopter, but I can't make you do that either. I think your heart is in the right place, but I've been consistent that I don't believe you're a good choice to adopt at this time. It's possible that I've either not stated clearly my feelings or stated them in some way that you may have misunderstood me, and if you can show me a diff to that extent, I'll happily try to explain my meaning. I truly do not recall ever authorizing you to have any adoptees. Indeed, that's sort of our of my purview. - Philippe 22:01, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- My concern is that I feel that what I said was misrepresented. I know you didn't do it deliberately, but as an admin, one of the things that people pay attention to is my judgment, and I don't want people to think that I "authorized" (something I'm not able to do) you to have two adoptees (something I'm not inclined to do). That may cast doubts upon my judgment in the eyes of other people, so I want to be very clear about what exactly I said. I'm not going to cut any prejudicial deals with you: I won't enter into any agreements that include the words "if" or "then", because any number of circumstances may preclude those agreements and I won't be held to them.
- Please don't tell anyone that I said it was okay for you to have two adoptees, because it is my stated position that you should give them all up, for their good and for yours.
- I think you're on the right track, but you're just not there yet. No big deal, because I was a contributor here for almost a year before I would have even considered adopting. - Philippe 01:38, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I understand. But my adoptees have figured out that I'm a good adopter to them, especially User:Writergirlrocks who didn't want to leave me being here adopter, even if User:Friday suggested it. Any comments?--Ryan (talk) 01:44, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Philippe is very calm and fair with his language and he raises very good points. However, I share his concerns about you adopting. You made this edit in the past hour or so. Do you know why it was reverted? If you don't, then how can you adopt others when you are making such basic mistakes? I would suggest that instead of adopting, you are at the stage where you should ask an experienced, reliable user, who understands policy, to adopt you. Please keep the reply here for clarity. George The Dragon (talk) 01:48, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes I do. It was reverted becuase I wasn't staying neutral to my editing. I have just learned that and I understand not to do that anymore. I do know what I do wrong and that's how I learn some more. But I still always try to do the right thing and try not to do wrong edits.--Ryan (talk) 01:51, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I understand. But my adoptees have figured out that I'm a good adopter to them, especially User:Writergirlrocks who didn't want to leave me being here adopter, even if User:Friday suggested it. Any comments?--Ryan (talk) 01:44, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I think you know where I stand. My preference is that you not adopt, but I can't make you give it up, and I won't - ethically - tell someone that you can't adopt them, because I refuse to undermine you like that. I'm pleased that your adoptees think you're doing a good job and really do appreciate your effort, but my opinion is that you're still not ready. Regardless, I don't have the power - alone - to make you stop adopting. In my judgment that goes beyond the tools that are entrusted to admins unless it causes immediate danger to the wiki, which I can't imagine. - Philippe 01:49, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I have been so far doing a good job at teaching my adoptees. And since the program was deleted, I always check links just to make sure I am mentoring my adoptees right. I also give my adoptees the links I read off of since then. I will think wheather I should give up, or try to keep up my improved adopting skills. I appreciate both of your cool heads by the way.--Ryan (talk) 01:56, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- That is because they feel they can trust you, which is very important but at the same time does not indicate how competent you are for adopting people. There are several areas which you need to improve on RyRy and please take the advices given to you seriously. You nominate articles which you have not contributed for GA status when they may not be close to such status just yet. You mostly are treating mainspace editing as a number (seriously the number of edits a user has ain't a big deal at the end of the day) and not really as chances to improve article content. Even your AFD votes still leave alot to be desired considering that you post a very short and unelaborated vote. It seems you misused the "undo" button according to the section above (which isn't a good thing since you are seeking use of the rollback tool). I think you really need to slow down your edit velocity but not your edit time per se. Your dedication to Wikipedia is great, so why not take the time to use that dedication on 1-2 articles you particularly like? Clicking the random article button and trying to improve an article with a wikilink or a new heading isn't enough experience to improve your article writing. Personally I'm not a prolific article writer so I focus on janitorial work such as vandalism prevention and removing spam domains from articles. I'm not sure if it would be smart for you to work on vandalism/spam prevention just yet (due that incorrect use of the undo function I mention above), so maybe other areas of janitorial work like: identifying Broken redirects, copyedit, edit an article so it maintains a neutral point of view, categorizing uncategorized articles, and finding citations for unreferenced articles would be good ways to build up your experience. If you work in these areas it would really assure your adopters that you are an experienced Wikipedia editor as well as those who have been critiquing you thusfar.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 02:12, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I see. I have been focusing on writing and wikifying articles. I think wikifying is a good start for me since I know the formatting of articles. Most articles I wikify are just a big section of words. I am mostly good at writing baseball articles. One problem is that I don't know where to find un-created baseball articles. I link would help. Also, I think I should revert edits that I know is vandalism, maybe article that are totally blanked. Any comments? Ryan (talk) 02:20, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm still not sure if it would be a good idea for you to try vandalism reverts since you reverted an edit which wasn't vandalism at all. Even I take breaks from vandal reverting when I feel I'm going to begin to make mistakes. You don't need to create a new article since there are plenty on the subject waiting to be improved. You can even look through Category:Baseball and find articles which could use major expansion. Since you have such a good knowledge of the subject, you should be able to find one that you could seriously help.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 02:26, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

What do you mean by "wikifying"? Because in this diff you have added a wikilink for Las Bovedas] when the article is Las Bóvedas when the text doesn't need a wikilink - it should be the name of the article - and now links to a different page. Also, the edit history is full of your edits. Please use the preview button so all of the edits count as one and the recent changes page isn't swamped.
Also, on a slightly unrelated note, asking other users to nominate you for RFA is frowned on by some and, rightly or wrongly, some would !vote against you at RFA for doing that George The Dragon (talk) 02:37, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I understand the wikifying, and I know I said this before, but I will be more careful. But Stormtracker has asked to nominate me a little while back. I was just reminding him/her.--Ryan (talk) 02:41, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I hope I don't come across as at all mean or harsh, but an old maxim is "Never ask a question you don't already know the answer to" - I think that applies to RfAs as well, in the sense that you're asking the community "Will you trust me with adminship?". If a first RfA were to fail, in my observation, it makes a second one harder. The bar for admins is set much higher than it was even a year or two ago, especially after some recent events where people have been promoted then found wanting. My advice would be to focus on really solid contribution, take on what the experienced users have told you here, and see how you go from there. See this as an opportunity - a lot of the research skills you develop here to do articles can help you in upper level high school or in university. Orderinchaos 04:44, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice. I have already decided what to do.--Ryan (talk) 04:49, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Your edits to Aluna
Hello. I see you reverted my edit on the page Aluna. Could you please give me a reason for having done that? Because all I had done prior to your reverting was to provide categories, internal links, an introduction and a ref template. I've also did some major changes on the structure of the article, and also removed unencyclopedic content. I won't revert your edit for now, to avoid an edit war. Thank you, Victor Lopes (talk) 22:04, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it seems another editor has already reverted your reverting. Anyway, if you still believe that the content should be removed, please explain why. Victor Lopes (talk) 22:36, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

It's useless to nominate an article for GA if you've made little and/or no contributions to. Please consider this when nominating other articles. You get get the top contributor to the article by searching here. - MILK'S FAVORITE COOKIE (Talk) 01:51, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- I understand. There is little chance that the top contributor himself won't nominate it for GA if he feels it's ready. I would suggest editing an article your interested in. Take Lou Gehrig for example, see the article history. GA just isn't one edit. Getting an article to GA is harder than it looks. - MILK'S FAVORITE COOKIE (Talk) 02:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

User page review
Please stop asking people what they think of your user page. There is no need to ask people this every other day when you decide to go through a redesign. This applies, too, to your signature. At the rate you're going, it's possible that other editors will start considering whether you need to be on an article-only restriction since you're focusing a little too frequently on these kinds of things. Hey Ryan
I've looked over all of the things users have said to you recently above, while I agree with some of it, I think that the one thing you really should work on it decreasing the your amount of userspace edits. I have the same problem, and I'm trying to limit it. Have you thought about taking a short-term wikibreak? I think it might be a good idea, so that you can read up on some policies and work on your writing, then return and be a great editor. That's just my opinion. iMatthew 2008 00:37, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly, I just decided to check out your page, and I saw the issues on your talk page. I think short-term break (maybe a week) would work. While you're on break though, you should still look over some policies and become familiar with them. iMatthew 2008 00:59, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the invite, I unfortunately have to decline. As you probably know I work with WP:PW. I barely have enough time to work with them, so it would be pretty impossible to work with two projects right now. But thanks anyway! iMatthew 2008 01:02, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Articles
Please consider first writing articles in a word processor and utilizing the spell check within that program. Your articles are riddled with typos. Also, please stay neutral while writing your articles. Don't refer to things as "impressive" or "great". Metros (talk) 03:58, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Some articles I read say words like "impressive", which is why it is sometimes hard for me to stay neutral. Also, I will consider the spell check program too.--Ryan (talk) 04:01, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Secret Fake pages
Hi I'm sure you probably know, but your secret fake pages are gone, and it kinda ruins your secret page challenge which I found to be really fun and the best secret page challenge on all of Wikipedia. Is there any chance you could recreate the fake pages to make the challenge fun again? Thanks. Jammy (talk) 08:23, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Per Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Secret pages, I would suggest against doing that. AgnosticPreachersKid (talk) 09:39, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
List of articles
Ryan, I'm glad to see you spending some effort on article creation, and it looks like baseball articles are a great place for you to start. I can't really evaluate the notability of those in your list because I think about ---> <---- that much about baseball (other than that you throw the ball at the bat and try not to hit anybody with it). As far as I can tell, though, that's a really good way for you to get going. Can you tell me how you arrived at that particular list? Are those particularly interesting players that just didn't have an article yet?
The other thing I'm not sure about is the naming convention. For instance, should Jim Wright (1978-79 pitcher) more properly be named Jim Wright (athlete)? How is that handled for other baseball players. That's not a rhetorical question; I honestly don't know how we do it for athletes!
Great work!
By the way, Ryan, I want you to know that - even though sometimes it must really feel like folks are out to "get" you - I really appreciate the fact that you're trying to listen to what people are suggesting. You've come a LONG way in the last couple of weeks and I know you've put a lot of hard work into it. I really appreciate that and I know others do too. You're not going to get everything perfectly the first time - no one does - but listening to advice and trying to act on it is "a good thing". - Philippe 16:01, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Your recent "revision".
About that page you "restored". I and several other members of GameFAQs.com have been dealing with a user who has been deliberately spamming the board for the game "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Game of the Year Edition with offensive and trolling posts. He proposed making up a page on Wikipedia based solely on the character Fargoth, and the topic in which he voiced his "proposal" was subsequently deleted as a Terms of Service violation. The administrators at GameFAQs do not take kindly to this "planned trolling", as it constitutes message board invasion. It is considered a serious violation of the rules of that site, and almost always results in users being banned from the site itself. The purpose of the page created here was for nothing more than the creator to be able to deliberately troll this website and GameFAQs with inane and unfounded criticisms of the titular character, whilst being able to brag that none of the members on GameFAQs can have him punished for violating the Terms of Service for either site. The page created by user FargothRocks should be deleted, as it is nothing more than blatant self-promotion. CorinthMaxwell (talk) 02:06, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Re: Thanks. I don't quite know yet how to "request deletion of articles", as I keep getting redirected to a Wikimedia page whenever I find a link that looks like it'll lead to what I'm looking for.

Re:Opinion
- Justin Masterson-add to the Career section if possible, and maybe nix the section about his pitching (to avoid a slight biased view). I would also add his statistics in the infobox to the prose section about his career.
- Prisoner Ball-I know of this game as "Nuke-em." I'm not sure that this is entirely notable enough to stand alone unless references are added, so this should be the number one priority. The next thing to do would be to change "Rules of play" to simply "Game play" and remove the subsections. This would make the article less like a how-to article (see WP:NOT#HOWTO). I would also get rid of "other rules" and "materials needed" for the same reason.
Hope that helps! Malinaccier (talk) 23:09, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Adoption
Hello, Ry. I am back on Wikipedia, after a long not-documented wikibreak. So, RyRy5, will you adopt me? I though I am in need of adoption by an experienced user. Nothing444 00:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

- Sub-page like User:Nothing444/Adoption for lessons or whatever. Malinaccier (talk) 01:27, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Metros advised me I shouldn't get adopted by you, rather a more experienced user. no offense, but I guess I have to listen to admins to prevent further issues. Nothing444 01:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- I know you really want to adopt me, and I would accept, but Metros (an admin by the way) said it was a good idea, and I really dont want to get blocked again. Nothing444 01:37, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- RyRy, I suggest you adopt him. I can advise you on how to manage it. And nothing, just because Metros is an admin doesn't mean he can block you for just being adopted by RyRy, and probably wouldn't want to either. I'm an admin, but I can't just block anyone for any reason I want. It seems you have a misconception about the roles of admins. I suggest you read WP:DEAL. Seriously guys, RyRy5 shouldn't be adopting anyone until he gets a better handle on Wikipedia policy. It would be an especially bad idea for him to handle someone on such shaky standing as Nothing444. I'm all for people helping out, but since RyRy5 has supposedly been mentoring Nothing444 all through his problems, that doesn't bode well. Shell babelfish 03:25, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. Metros isn't the only person to suggest that RyRy5 wait on adopting users. This has been discussed several times. APK yada yada 03:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, its just been pointed out to me that Nothing444 never actually accepted RyRy5's offer to adopt him. However, in reviewing their communications, I'm even more concerned - RyRy5 has asked Nothing444 to review a good article candidate [3], advised him on making bots [4], mentions Nothing444 trying for adminship [5], "fired" Nothing444 for taking his adoptees [6], informs us that reverting vandalism is a large part of admin duties and it ups your mainspace count [7] ... Guys, I know you're new here, but lets slow down a bit and make sure you understand what's going on. Its great to see such enthusiasm, but we really need you to take a little time to learn how to volunteer at Wikipedia. Shell babelfish 03:53, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
