Question from Space772 (05:34, 1 January 2024)

I'm not sure how to fix the date on this page http://en.m.wiki.x.io/wiki/Longplayer# It has a box that displays the length of time that it has been playing in years months and days but I think the code is broken or something. --Space772 (talk) 05:34, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

@Space772: Hi there! I was only able to look at it today. It seems like it's working fine (I can read "Longplayer has been playing for 24 years and 2 days" right below the infobox. Is that what you were referring to? Rkieferbaum (talk) 18:14, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
yes that is what I was referring to I guess it just wasn't updated yet when I was looking at it Space772 (talk) 05:03, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
@Space772: it will sometimes lag a little bit due to cache and optimizations and whatnot... depending on what device I'm on it gives slightly different times. But I guess that's fine for the purpose of this particular article. Cheers! Rkieferbaum (talk) 12:44, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Question from MAB Consultants (18:03, 8 January 2024)

dear i want to publish an article about the company MAB Consultants and MAB Solutions --MAB Consultants (talk) 18:03, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

@MAB Consultants: hi there. Even though I believe you have good intentions, it is extremely unadvisable that you create an article about the company you own/work for. This would be a strong conflict of interest and against Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Besides that, I'm afraid your account name is not permitted as per Wikipedia's username policies. Please let me know if I can be of any further help. Rkieferbaum (talk) 19:12, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

Question from 551.JMR (15:15, 20 January 2024)

Hi. I want to write an article about my employer, which does not have a page. It looks like I am discouraged from doing so. Is there a site to recommend an article for another editor to cover? --551.JMR (talk) 15:15, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

@551.JMR: Hi there! That is correct. I'm sure you realize why and I appreciate your attention to Wikipedia's recommendations. If you're sure your employer meets the general and/or specific notability guidelines, feel free to suggest its article for creating in Wikipedia:Requested articles. Let me know if I can help you with anything else! Rkieferbaum (talk) 15:20, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for the quick response! 551.JMR (talk) 15:22, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

Question from Space772 (04:19, 17 January 2024)

Where would I go to talk about merging a article because this page should be about Japanese joinery but is instead about a banner that there is already a page for this comment sums up the situation well http://en.m.wiki.x.io/wiki/Talk:Sashimono#%E6%8C%87%E3%81%97%E7%89%A9_=_Cabinetmaking? --Space772 (talk) 04:19, 17 January 2024 (UTC)

{{re|Space772} Hi there! Whenever I get the chance I'll take a look at the concrete case and see if I'd suggest anything. But ideally you'll raise the topic in both talk pages and wait for a couple of weeks to see what others comment. You can also use the tags {{Merge to}} and {{Merge from}} to make sure people see what you're suggesting. So if I understood correctly you'd "merge from" the current article, taking the banner's contents to the existing article (if it's not there yet) and once that's done you'll create the "new" article where the previous one existed. Does that make sense? Rkieferbaum (talk) 15:08, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
Yes it kinda makes sense but what if know one ever says anything on the he talk page Space772 (talk) 03:18, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
@Space772: if after a few weeks no one says anything you can WP:BEBOLD and proceed with the change. It can always be changed back if it turns out not to be the best course of action. Rkieferbaum (talk) 14:14, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
