Brazilian Portal

edit

Thank you for your offer! The portal can certainly use all the help we can muster. If you'd like to help improve it, there are a couple of things I've not yet gotten around to doing: First, while creating the portal, I found out that there are no WikiProjects concerning Brazil; I've been meaning to get one started, but have not had the time yet. I even have a place holder template, just waiting for us to get one project going and then link it to the portal. The layout was inspired in the Australian portal, so you can check it out for inspiration if needed. Second, we are trying to get at least one article on Brazil featured, for the "Featured article" section. Amazingly enough, there are no articles on Brazil in that category, except for Portuguese language, but that's only partly about Brazil, since it is an article about the language and all the countries that speak it. Since you mentioned automated task, let me ask you: is there any way that we could keep up with the number of articles about or that mention Brazil in Wikipedia? That would be an interesting data to display in the portal, but I have no idea if that's possible or how to do it... Finally, you may also consider joining the "Members" or the "Maintainers" section of the portal info. Regards, Redux 29 June 2005 13:44 (UTC)

Hey again. Thanks for your answer, I look forward to your feedback. I'm thinking we can include the information in the "Did you know" section. I'm from Cidade Maravilhosa. Regards, Redux 29 June 2005 16:01 (UTC)

Hi! I've just crossed a symbolic milestone. Three thousand edits! I feel like celebrating. Have a cigar! Don't worry, I don't smoke them either, but it's all good :)! Cheers, Redux 15:04, 19 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:23, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I was on Wikipedia:Translators available and notice that you were on the list for Portuguese to English translators and wondered if you could translate Prince Peter of Saxe-Coburg-Kohary? Thank you or obrigado. The Emperor's New Spy (talk) 13:36, 9 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Disney Infinity, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Frankenweenie (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
