Help using other basemaps with Template:Graph:Map?

I'm trying to adapt the interactive worldmap to a interactive north america map roughly equivalent to File:USA edcp location map lite.svg. It's a bit of a daunting task, as I'm unfamiliar with MW extension Graph and topojson. As a first step, I thought I'd try to tweak the basemap parameter to switch from Worldmap2c-json to Swissmapcantons-json, however the results are not as expected. Do you have any insight into what I'm doing wrong? Feoffer (talk) 23:48, 28 June 2022 (UTC) User:Feoffer/sandbox_interactive

Telangana dialect

Agree with you, but pls dont cite some romantic comedy fidaa as an example, which is odd to the context. Because Telangana was always portrayed positively in B Narsing Rao, Ram Gopal Varma, and N Shankar films, major examples being Tanikella Bharani and Kota Srinivasa Rao at mainstream levels, just like Rayalaseema dialect. Even before 2014, Shekhar Kammula used it in all his films starting from from Dollar dreams to Love Story. I can give you list of 100 films with Telangana culture, and actors.Fostera12 (talk) 03:24, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

I don't see what Fidaa being a romantic comedy has anything to do with anything. The source I cited states "the success of Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Fida’ proved the dialect will remain as a mainstay of Telugu cinema now", which I think is sufficient to use it as an example of this shift. If you can find sources for those assertions and can merge it with the existing material, then add it. For further inquiries, please use Talk:Telugu cinema so more people will notice. MSG17 (talk) 03:35, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

I have retained ur text highlighting the shift, but it was always been a mainstay, it is part of the Telugu culture, we cant politicize culture, we need to keep articles in neutral tone, This films' which depicted Telangana dialect in positive light were not successful ? Shiva, Gaayam, Shatruvu, etc and internationally acclaimed B narsing rao films? Why Fida ? all Jd chakrvarthy films, Pawan kalyan himself spoke Telangana dialect in his films, there are 100's of examples. Tone of the text is very important.Fostera12 (talk) 03:43, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

I mean, you stating that representation of Telangana dialect was always sunshine and roses and ignoring the differences in how dialect is treated in the media and society is also politicization (politicisation) in the opposite direction. I am not saying that Telangana and others dialects were always shown negatively and never shown positively in the past, but the sources state that Telangana dialect was often used stereotypically and experienced an increase in positive portrayal. Please don't deleted sourced material. Further inquiries should be on the article talk page. MSG17 (talk) 04:03, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

And pls dont cite Coastal Andhra dialect, as mainstay, it is not Telugu film noir dialect. Coastal Andhra is different. The dialect you see in mainstream Telugu films is not Andhra dialect, it is Telugu film noir, grammatically spoken telugu, example c narayana reddy Telugu. Pls dont mix country side accents (there are some 20 accents to Telugu) with dialects. Dialect reflects culture not language parameter. The sources you are talking about is individual perspectives, and doesn't reflect culture as a whole, and from social media and regional politics we cant base wikipedia articles. Those sources are mirroring of wikipedia articles texts.Fostera12 (talk) 03:52, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

Further topic of Taiwan-Ukraine relations

Hello, I moved the topic to here as I believe Mr.Styyx is into incomprehensible pressure. Actually, I don't know where too seek a Q&A issue in terms of international relations. Most contents are difficult. So I will go on some questions that I believe it has to be discussed. I'm new in Wikipedia. -- Wu Peihao←→Talk 02:18, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

Sure. I can help you, though it might take some time for me to reply to queries. MSG17 (talk) 03:36, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
"【台烏關係倒退/下】只捧美國隊長…台烏結盟好時機 卻連捐物資都沒管道". United Daily News. 2022-03-03.
  • Okay, the next story is more complicated. The United Daily's paid site says that the Chen Shui-bian government abolished the representative office in Belarus because it was not functioning well and was not friendly to Taiwan. This article was also talking about Taiwan–Ukraine relations, and does not clearly mention how the two sides went down. I also found some news fragments, plus the sources included in the article, mentioned that Chen Shui-bian was open to Ukraine at first.
How to write to keep WP:POV? Can I contextualize the reader to reason? -- Wu Peihao←→Talk 09:34, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
Hmmm.... maybe "The Chen Shui-bian administration, which had earlier abolished the representative office of Taiwan in Belarus due to a lack of diplomatic progress, was open to efforts to enhance relations with Ukraine." MSG17 (talk) 20:22, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
Read the news. It clearly mentions Taiwan abolished the representative office in Minsk in 2006, and also said the Taiwan-Ukraine relations went down from Chen Shui-bian. But it didn't mentioned why the action had happened. I added my assumption that no official reason was given.-- Wu Peihao←→Talk 04:14, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
It's clear that the official contact is suspended. I will change the text to "As for the suspension of contact with Ukraine, no official reason was provided."-- Wu Peihao←→Talk 04:37, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
What you have written sounds correct. Sorry, I don't have access to UDN paid articles so I couldn't read it. I see that you have completed the article; I can run the archive bot and copyedit/proofread it (in due time). MSG17 (talk) 13:28, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
I can paste the full article on the talk page of Taiwan–Ukraine relations. But I'm not sure it violates the copyright problem. -- Wu Peihao←→Talk 01:25, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

Yes, that would be a copyright violation. MSG17 (talk) 02:56, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

  • Also, I found the extra events that Taiwan's MIB agents seem to enter Ukraine. It seems to have less relevant with Ukraine, maybe I should put this part on Military Intelligence Bureau?-- Wu Peihao←→Talk 05:21, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, I think that would be fine, unless if there was an impact on diplomatic relations. MSG17 (talk) 15:02, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
  • A new question. Can I post a forum link? It has the full text of Yu Zhenqi's book because the internal link doesn't need to be WP:RS. -- Wu Peihao←→Talk 21:01, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
I am not sure; while I have seen some cases where different links were used to support content that couldn't be found elsewhere on the Internet, I think the original links might be required since a) the Sohu links already have major excerpts and b) if the forum hosts the entire text of a book, it would be a copyright violation.. MSG17 (talk) 21:12, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
Okay, Then I will quote similar links on the related article. But the way, the user's wiki break is over. He didn't do that thing. Will the article run the bot automatically? -- Wu Peihao←→Talk 21:43, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
I think the bot is not working right now. I don't know when it will be back to normal operations. MSG17 (talk) 22:54, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

Your DYK nomination of Hi-Tek incident

Hi there! I was going through some old nominations, and something odd stuck out to me. I noticed that upon making your sixth nomination, which contained only one article, you provided six QPQs – my guess is that you thought that your first five "free" nominations had to be repaid? By my calculations, you've only needed to use one QPQ (your first five are totally free, and don't need to be back-reviewed) – so, in keeping accurate tally, I'd like to return to you your QPQ credits for the following nominations:

Template:Did you know nominations/Riot Games will be kept as the QPQ for Hi-Tek incident, but I thought that you should know that these are still available to you for your hard work :) you don't have to use these, of course, but I did want to make it clear which QPQ was being used for Hi-Tek. Thanks! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 06:42, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

Yes, that is indeed the misconception I had. Thanks! MSG17 (talk) 13:33, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

Map

@MSG17 Can you please say how to colour a map? I mean how you coloured each constituency of File:Wahlkreise in Indien.svg to convert it to File:Indische Parlamentswahl 2014 Parteien.svg? XYZ 250706 (talk) 05:38, 9 February 2023 (UTC)

I didn't color that map; instead, I used the translator tool to translate it to other languages. It looks like Furfur made the map in the first place. MSG17 (talk) 16:06, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
