Warning for anti-Iranian sentiment

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Anti-Iranian_sentiment. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular the three-revert rule states that:

  • Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  • Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. (A note from user The Scythian)

Wow! You got me suckered. Smart move! How about posting the same on your own page? Well, be happy. Loggerjack (talk) 22:36, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • I wold welcome the warning, as I have made three edits/reverts in the last 24 hours, and would not wish to violate Wikipedia policy by making a forth. Thank you in advance, if you plan on doing so. The Scythian 22:49, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
    • Hehe, are you thanking me for planning to make a fourth revert? Don't worry, I've already said, I am bored with the subject and your inability to address my concern: you failed to prove than my edits were wrong, i.e., that the deleted examples are indeed anti-Iranian or, if you wish, anti-Persian. Loggerjack (talk) 22:53, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Well, I am about to open a discussion on making massive changes to the article, including it's renaming, amongst many other things. You're more than welcome to partake in it. The Scythian 23:00, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Loggerjack: how am I involved in anything involved with Iran? I am a Trixie living in Lincoln Park and have nothing to do with Iran. I request that you remove any aspect of this with my profile or myself. Further implications that I am not what I am will result in a lawsuit. Yours, Ashley Munroe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashley munroe (talkcontribs) 14:22, 20 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Algorithm

edit

Hi Loggerjack; someone asked me if I could comment about the Algorithm page. My advice is to work on the problems with the article one at a time, rather than trying to solve everything in one edit. Give a justification for your change on the talk page, rather than just in an edit summary; there isn't room in an edit summary to give a proper explanation, and it's hard to reply to an edit summary. You can use different sections on the talk page for different issues, which makes it easy to separate the conversation. Remember that everyone has the good of the article in mind; if you persuade people that your ideas improve the article they will be happy to implement them. — Carl (CBM · talk) 13:40, 15 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Bell test experiments, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Polarisation (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
