Suggestions for Writing Process Article

edit

3 pages considering editing for project: autism, autism spectrum, writing process, all to try and get content going about teaching writing to students on the spectrum, esp. adapting pedagogies we're familiar with and adapting them for these students. I am going to create a new subsection on the * Writing process page identifying research that points to strategies to use with learning disabled students to help them develop achievable goals for their growth as writers. In my sandbox I have annotations from sources I plan to use to help me build up the section. Jonahkasha (talk) 15:43, 16 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
This is a really cool idea, Pete. Have you thought about where on the Writing Process site you're thinking about adding it? Also, have use considered linking extensively to the Disability education section? It might be interesting to connect the two.

A couple of things I would suggest:

1) There are some sentences, like the first sentence that feel very subjective. One way to change the tone of these would be to eliminate queue words like "in fact" or "challenging", and try to remain more objective. Its really tough, I know!

2) Have you considered breaking down your larger section into multiple areas of thought (methods, theories, key studies, etc)?

Really good start, and great idea! DerelictDante (talk) 01:50, 23 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
