Hi guys

My name is Phil Mason, and I hale from Auckland, New Zealand. I've had a particular interest in the Jagdwaffe - WW2 Luftwaffe Fighter Pilots, and that is where my initial Wikipedia-editing was based around. Sorry I haven't been active there for a while - there are several editors in that WikiProject who have been very difficult to deal with and it drained my enjoyment for the topic. I'm still collecting data & references but I've found my time drawn off to other projects (as you do). The other big interest is sport-car racing and the iconic Le Mans 24 Hours, and I have now been writing up race histories for that great event, with a good bunch of knowledgeable Wiki-editors - an important aspect of Wikipedia's ongoing support and flourishing.

My aim has always been to collate information from a range of sources and show interconnection between events and the different people involved - some cause and effect. So the articles are not necessarily written purely biographically or as bare tables of data. I aim to put the information into a context with external events that can further explain what happened when, and why.

Comments welcome! cheers, Phil
