Maura Quint
- American writer Maura Quint is an internet humorist. She is the author of the @behindyourback Twitter account [1]. She is a contributor to Someecards [2], Happy Place, McSweeneys and Man Cave Daily.
In 2015, Maura was prominent among those who lead the effort to expose ongoing, widespread plagiarism by Josh Ostrovsky, who calls himself "the Fat Jew." Such efforts led to an interview of her on NPR's program On the Media [3] as well as a number of publications including Rolling Stone [4], the Hollywood Reporter [5] and online publications such as the Huffington Post.
Maura co-hosts a podcast with Wayne Gladstone [6] , author of the Internet Apocalypse series.
Among her most popular tweets [7] are "Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life because that field isn't hiring." and "20 Things That Women Should Stop Wearing After The Age of 30. 1-20: The weight of other people's expectations & judgments"
Her Tweets are often included in lists of funny Tweets, by such publications as Playboy, the Chicago Tribune [8] , Huffington Post [9] and elsewhere [10]. In addition to humor, Quint's Twitter account features political discussion, amusing everyday life observations, eclectic musical picks, advocacy for progressive causes, feminist insights and sometimes a cooking segment.
