Rick Parks was an american figurative painter and worked as a video game artist for Westwood Studios. Rick is considered to be an pioneer in digital painting. In the 80's he painted with Deluxe Paint on the Amiga. With his strong traditional painting skills he quickly gained recognition among the amiga users.
Rick Parks did numerous murals, many are found in Nevada. He was commissioned to make a series of paintings for the Trump Hotel in New York. He also did a mural on a boat owned by Donald Trump.
Rick suffered from rheumatoid arthritis in his hips and neck. He walked with a limp, and eventually he could not turn his head from side to side. In December 1996 Rick died of complications caused by leukemia, only 45 years old.
