Career
Jennifer Hartley began playing ringette at the age of 4.[1] She eventually played at the elite level with the Edmonton Belle AA team (Belle is now the Under-18, U-18 age group). She participated in the 2004 Canadian Ringette Championships in the U-16 division for Team Alberta and helped the team win gold.[2]
At the age of 18, Hartley took part in the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse with Team Alberta [ 3 ] and emerged as the best forward on her team [ 4 ].
In 2007 she began playing in Canada's premier league for ringette, the National Ringette League (NRL) and began playing for the Edmonton WAM!. She helped her team win 2 National Ringette League Championships for the 2009-10 [ 5 ] and 2010-11 seasons.[ 6 ] During the final game in April 2, 2011, she scored 2 goals for the WAM! to defeat the Cambridge Turbos 4-2 [ 7 ] .
At the 2007 World Ringette Championships, she was on reserve for Canada's senior national team [ 8 ] but at the 2010 World Ringette Championships, she was a regular member of the national team distinguishing herself as one of the best players on Team Canada.
On January 24, 2009, in Quebec City, Hartley competed in downhill ice cross at Red Bull Crashed Ice. At the time she was one of the few women to participate in this extreme skating and endurance event. She placed second in the women's competition behind her compatriot, Kerri Anne Wallace [ 10 ] .

All-Time Winners
edit- "Triple Header" Years
All three sports had their world championships during the same year in 2004, 2007, and 2016. 2022 and 2023 are also Triple Header years. Historically only Canada has had more than one world title in a given year, in the years 1990 and 1992. However the ringette titles were technically unofficial because the official world ringette championship count began in 1996.
