- Article created by Rosiestep on January 12, 2013, contributed to by Nvvchar, and has 3,983 characters of readable prose
- Hook is short enough at 167 characters, interesting, and supported online by Ref 5
- Earwig @ Toolserver Copyvio Detector run, no violations found
- Very nice image freely licensed (not yet copied over to Commons)
- Every paragraph sourced
- NPOV and interesting part of Alaska's geography and economy
- A minor note, I wonder if the hook would look better with a small tweak where the article link is. Perhaps something like, "...at Juneau, Alaska..." since Sheep Creek is already mentioned? Just a thought. — Maile (talk) 22:40, 29 January 2013 (UTC)

- Agree, that's fine, so offering ALT1 which incorporates the suggestion: ... that the Sheep Creek Hatchery (pictured) in Juneau, Alaska was established in 1980 for incubating about 40 million pink and/or chum salmon for commercial fisheries? --Rosiestep (talk) 02:12, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
Why is the title disambiguated as Sheep Creek (Juneau, Alaska) when Sheep Creek is available and requires no disambiguation?—My76Strat • talk • email • purge 09:54, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- Perhaps the one you list as available should be a dab in itself, if you look at Special:WhatLinksHere/Sheep_Creek. A quick look-thru search finds multiples of other Sheep Creeks mentioned in articles in the USA, Canada and at least one in Australia. Some have dab linking (List of tributaries of the Santa Ana River, Bear Creek (Oregon), List of rivers in Idaho; some have no links yet Piru Creek, San Gabriel Mountains, Hells Canyon Wilderness (Oregon and Idaho). List of wilderness study areas, List of rivers of Alberta, Bruneau – Jarbidge Rivers Wilderness, North Fork Malheur River, Imnaha River, Okotoks, Washington State Route 231, Lockyer Creek, etc. Or maybe it should be the primary where it's linked as a tributary of the Colorado River. — Maile (talk) 13:23, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- Reinstating tick, nominator's comment makes sense. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:47, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
