- The original hook isn't entirely accurate; the source says they closed a large stretch of Highway 170, which I think is an important distinction. That is the most interesting of the proposed hooks, though, so how about this alternative:
- ALT6: ... that during the 1997 Interstate Batteries 500, a large stretch of Texas State Highway 170 had to be closed for use as a parking lot?
