Present location of the former Stanground parish
editThe chopping and changes leading up to the formation of the modern county of Cambridgeshire are confusing to say the least. I have now managed to understand all of what happened around Stanground up to 1974. However, the sentence "In 1974 Thorney Rural District and Old Fletton Urban District became part of the current district in the new non-metropolitan county." puts me back into confusion again. What is the "current district"? I assume "the new non-metropolitan county" is Cambridgeshire, but only because Peterborough wasn't made a county. After reading the article on Stanground North I think I understand, but the information given there should be here as well. --Oldontarian (talk) 11:54, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
