Name of Album
editI read on iTunes that this album is just called "R". Which is the correct version? - Bagel7 04:23, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- The front cover just says R, one edge says "Queens of the Stone Age", the opposite edge says "The Feel Good Hit of the Summer". The band usually refer to it as Rated R.--*smb 23:54, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Call me old fashioned, but shouldn't the band's opinion be the only one that matters? If your name were Bob but everyone called you Jack, you'd still be Bob. Regardless of how many times other people called you by the wrong name, it's still the wrong name.
- "Keep in mind that they could just be informally referring to the album as "Rated R." The actual originally intended name may likely have been "Feel Good Hit of the Summer," though this was easily obscured by the cover art. So, instead they just started to call it the R rated album to make it easier for everyone".

- "Rated R" should be made the standard reference throughout the article with the other variants mentioned for completeness of information only. I'll make the edit for now, but if others disagree it can always be reverted.--Museerouge 01:05, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Rated X
editThere's a good JH quote along the lines of "How can it be Rated X if there's no penises?" from an interview about the record. I'll add it in when I find it again.--*smb 23:54, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
huh
editmy copy of the album is labelled R [Japan Bonus Track], but only has one track that is 8:40... there should be two :/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.98.23.140 (talk) 16:49, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Rated X
editShould there be a mention of the special edition version and a track listing for it? I thought there previously had been a description of it.
- Yes, it should be mentioned in the text. At the moment, the "X" is only viewable in the LP cover picture and between the brackets for the Japanese bonus track. A further explanation would be a nice addition. regards, IP 92.231.216.124 (talk) 11:12, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Accolades
editThis album was listed by Rolling Stone as one the top 100 of the past decade. Does this warrant inclusion into the article? 98.196.78.26 (talk) 02:39, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Monsters In The Parasol/Monster In The Parasol
editIn the Deluxe version of Rated R, we can read in the back cover: "Monsters in the parasol" (Disc One, The Album) and "Monster In The Parasol [Live]" (Disc Two, The B-Sides) without "S". Anyone knows why this difference ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by H'Monkee (talk • contribs) 21:27, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Uncomfortable Whitespace
editIn the Track Listing section, I added one word to the "All tracks written by... except where noted" at the top, and it resulted in the page rendering in a strange way. Even though the sentence fits on the same line, the table is pushed far down below the sidebar. Does anyone know if there's a way to fix this?
