Stage Fright
editIn her conversation with Mike Birbiglia, on his podcast "Working It Out", (03/06/2022) Mitch Hedberg's wife Lynn Shawcroft states unequivocally that Mitch did not have stagefright. Ever. Mike Birbiglia, who worked shows with Hedberg, agrees wholeheartedly. . Shawcroft states that the notion that Hedberg had stagefright is a myth. TDCornwell (talk) 14:48, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Oops! Already mentioned. Not fixed in the article yet. TDCornwell (talk) 14:50, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
TDCornwell, I am actually not a very good writer. Do you want to just edit the article instead and include what you wrote above? Sarahnach (talk) 15:07, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
TDCornwell - one last thing - I was going to change the first part by adding "Many who did not know Hedberg have stated that he.", removing the part about the shaking microphone and then adding something like what you wrote. Sarahnach (talk) 15:11, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
TDCornwall, I'll just go ahead and do it. Sarahnach (talk) 22:21, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
Anyone know why AlsoWukai would remove my changes? I sent them an email message, but wanted to ask here as well. Sarahnach (talk) 12:58, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- A volunteer in the Wikipedia Help suggesting I provide a link to the podcast episode and include the time where they discuss the "stage fright" controversy. I'm going to try that. Sarahnach (talk) 00:54, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
Ah well, that didn't work. AlsoWukai removed the changes again without any explanation. Sarahnach (talk) 22:54, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
As I was directed to do by a volunteer, I contacted AlsoWukai directly on their talk page. Here is what I wrote:
Why did you twice revert the changes I made to the Mitch Hedberg page? Are his widow and his friend not considered reliable sources: https://workingitout.libsyn.com/67-lynn-shawcroft-how-mitch-hedberg-wrote-jokes
The article that is referenced to back up the claim that Mitch had stage fright does NOT even mention stage fright or fear: https://www.popmatters.com/in-memoriam-mitch-hedberg-2496156399.htm Sarahnach (talk) 00:25, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
