Laslo Djere → Laslo Đere – Per WP:SERBIANNAMES, since the subject has no Western connections. (A Hungarian name is also listed in his bio. What's the connection to Hungary?) Rovingrobert (talk) 23:52, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
- Support consistency with Serbian bio articles. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:52, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
-- I see that you continue to refer to Djere as Dere, but every official ATP, ITF etc. source calls him Laslo Djere so why do you keep his Serbian surname in English? http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/players/laslo-djere/db63/overview http://www.itftennis.com/procircuit/players/player/profile.aspx?playerid=100165406 http://www.protennislive.com/posting/2016/7584/mds.pdf It's like you write Dokovic instead of Djokovic, I think that this (like the oe in German, witthoeft, goerges etc. as referred in official sources) should be anglicized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helevorn (talk • contribs) 14:32, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

Laslo Đere → Laslo Djere Based on Commonname and extensive sources (all his personal websites) this really should be at Laslo Djere as an editor mentioned above. We have places like AP News, Tennis Abstract, ESPN Bio, places selling his equipment like Tennis Express, his official ATP Bio, his official ITF Bio, and his Serbian Davis Cup Bio. Then there are his personal social media accounts: official facebook account, official twitter account, official instagram account... even the Laslo Djere Fan Club account. This seems like a no brainer change. Not every player has all the personal sites with their preferred spelling in English, but when they do we should handle it the same way. Editor @Xc4TNS: tried to move this but for some reason it was unsuccessful. So a formal request seems best. Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:31, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose He's Serbian, no advantage in giving someone a WP:TENNISNAME, we had all this twice over a decade ago. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:02, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- Support Usage in English-language sources is more than 2-1 in favour of "Djere". A Google search intext:"Laslo Djere" returns about 406,000 results. A Google search intext:"Laslo Đere" returns about 147,000 results. Also, the fact that his own English-language social media sites use the spelling "Djere" makes this a no-brainer. - Support - umm, people have the right to spell their own name whatever way they want Red Slash 07:10, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
