removed speech info
editWhile I understand the information added to the speech section is likely there to make the team team sound impressive, I believe it is out of character with the rest of the page. The track section does not list its individual state champions or events of state champions and debate does not do the same with national qualifiers. For the sake of consistency and avoiding unnecessary clutter I believe events should stick to listing team state championships. However, if you would like to have all of this information, I would suggest expanding it so that it constitutes a full, well structured paragraph. For an example of what is the norm on Wiki check out the pages for major colleges and universities in the areas of extracurricular activities and sports. Additionally, the information about it being extremely competitive never warranted and is thus editorializing for the sake of promoting a tournament. Wikipedia is not the proper forum for this. Also, it is considered generally untrue (I’m on a college forensics team with former Nebraska teams and intercollegiate national finalists that concur with this). In interest of fairness, anyone editing this page in all other categories should keep this in mind so that the KHS page can look as official as possible. Dr. Brandon Green as notable alumni
editLinks connecting other alum to KHS are also absent. While the information is probably available on ESPN.com or other athletic sites with biographical info, the links are not there; nor are links available for the thousands of other Notable Alum on other high schools' entries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.118.198.195 (talk) 00:08, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- A previous IP editor vandalized the school song to incorporate references to Green. I reverted this edit; the IP editor who is currently attempting to list Green as a notable alumnus reverted my reversion, returning the song to its vandalized version. This is a strong argument against WP:FAITH.
- Green appears to be non-notable by the standards of WP:NRVE. The source cited for him is his blog. Other sources indicate that he graduated from med school in 2009, making it highly unlikely that he's a "pioneer" in his field.
- Google searches quickly satisfy WP:NRVE for Anderson, Larson, and Peterson, and connect them to Kearney, if not to KHS specifically.
