Birth place

edit

Are we sure he was born in Tynemouth and he is not the John Ellis L Hunter born in Hackney in the first quarter of 1897? MilborneOne (talk) 19:53, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm not really absolutely sure; I just quoted a source. What did you find to make you think he was born in Hackney? I mean, if you have evidence that he was, then change his birthplace, of course.

All I know from the index of births at http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl that a "John Ellis L Hunter" was born in Hackney in the first quarter of 1897, what I dont know is that it is the same person. The odds are for it as they are not birth registrations for any John Hunters in Tynemouth. MilborneOne (talk) 17:53, 5 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Certainly you have more info than I. If I were in your skin, I would make the same conclusions. Occam's Razor, and all that. Why not make the change?

I have changed the place of birth to Hackney until something more reliable comes up. MilborneOne (talk) 15:49, 14 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
