Tomica Can you please answer this for me? Y'know on The Bodyguard's soundtrack it's billed as just Whitney Houston and Various Artists and she contributed to 6 of the 12 tracks on the album; and with Who's That Girl?'s soundtrack is billed as just Madonna and she contributed to 4 of the 9 tracks on; how comes Home isn't billed to Rihanna and VA's as it mirrors The Bodyguard (half the tracks are performed by her)? I understand Glitter being billed to Mariah Carey because all 12 tracks are performed by Mariah with additional guest rappers/singers contributing but I don't get Home I'd understand if Rihanna just did one track it'd only be VAs but can you please point me in the right direction please? @Ashantisantos: I never have come to see those examples before, but you seem to be right. I added her time since she is on 3/8 songs, she co-wrote one more song and was released through her own label [Westbury Road]. — Tomíca(T2ME) 16:24, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Tomica not to worry; how comes other people can't edit it because of the tag on the page just outta curiousity? Ashantisantos (talk) 16:27, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Clarification on being Credited as Rihanna's album

I know the discussion is above, but should it actually say "by Rihanna and various artists"? Typically, soundtracks, unless by one artist only, is by various artists only, such as the soundtrack to iCarly or the soundtrack to Drake & Josh. Rihanna has only done 3 out of 8 tracks, where really, Miranda Cosgrove and Drake Bell actually did a little more, with four songs to each of their soundtracks, and it was still dubbed as "by various artists". -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 04:18, 3 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

She has done 3 songs by singing them, additionally she co-wrote one more and she executively produced the album. It was also released through her label, Westbury Road. As for other example check out, Who's That Girl (which is credited solely to Madonna although has a significant portion of other songs, note: on iTunes is credited by Various artists). — Tomíca(T2ME) 09:52, 3 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Tomica: The comparison with Who's That Girl is not right. There are a lot of sources citing WTG as "Madonna album", including RIAA, Billboard and Hung Medien. So, as long as no sources citing it as "Rihanna album", then it falls to WP:OR. Bluesatellite (talk) 11:26, 28 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
