Title + subject matter

edit

I'm not sure how the title reliably disambiguates between NE England Jewry and that of the Northeast USA (New York, New Jersey, New England). Perhaps a better title could be found.

Also: on the basis of what criteria are communities listed here? The communities of Newcastle and Gateshead have near enough nothing in common. Is it truly essential we devote an article to a seemingly unrelated group of Jewish communities? JFW | T@lk 23:47, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree - NE could mean the NE of any country (not just England, or, for that matter USandA!)
I think the Gateshead Orthodox community needs an article - if anything, just to keep teh reams of content people keep trying to add about 0.8% of the population to the main Gateshead article. Seriously, that community is notable and deserving of an article. The other Jewish communities, vanishingly small as they are, don't deserve an article or even anything other than the most passing of mentions in the main article for the relevent towns/cities. --SandyDancer 10:22, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
