- He was popularly known as Francesco Maltese (to the exclusion of his inherited name). This is explained in the article. the roof of this court is too high to be yours (talk) 18:45, 9 January 2009 (UTC) However more recent scholarship seem to attribute the works of Il Maltese to Francesco Noletti. It is thought that Fieravino is a casa of mistaken identity.
