I'm going to quick fail this review as the article falls significantly short of GA criteria 1 and 3. I can't say I'm a fan of the significant portion of this article which consists of quotes, and they should mostly be replaced with paraphrased text. There are hardly any sentences that go over his playing career which aren't quotes. On the grand finals section, I find it strange that that section is separated from the rest of his playing career. The grand finals all happened in with the rest of his playing career. I also believe that it would make for better writing to have that in paragraph form rather than dot point form. I don't foresee including more information to be an issue, as there are plentiful newspapers on Trove which would cover the VFL. A few more issues are that there are a few paragraphs with no citations, such as his death, and that the lead is unusually short. Look at other Australian rules football good article biographies for guidance on what this article should look like before you nominate again. In particular, Sampson Hosking and Harold Oliver (Australian footballer) as they are from the same era. Steelkamp (talk) 08:59, 10 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
