Footnote to dogs died
edit'Dogs Trust "Never destroy a healthy dog", but obviously have to put some dogs to sleep if it is in the dogs' best interests'
Firstly, why "obviously"? Surely far more obvious is that some dogs are going to die of natural causes while in the care of the Trust, but the comment ignores this eventuality. Secondly, how does a dog go about expressing a wish to die?
The 2013 Annual Review uses the phrasing "Dogs died or put to sleep". I suppose what they really mean is "Dogs who died, either of natural causes or euthanised by us". But it would be nice to have a statement of the Trust's policy on deciding to put a dog down. In any case, how can we best rewrite the footnote? — Smjg (talk) 20:39, 12 March 2014 (UTC)
