The UK ad campaign song is not quite right. The line following “….of Italy” should be “The nut & choc a dream” — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.101.147.139 (talk) 11:09, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

editWhat do you mean by frozen ice-cream cones? The entire thing, frozen, so it could be shipped about the world that way? And where does that text come from? +sj + 20:52, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- someone might want to note the joke in Shaun of the Dead about the Cornetto - and how it doesn't make any sense in the US because it isn't sold here.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.138.96.34 (talk) 21:39, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- For some reason that is the funniest line in the film. But I don't know why. Jooler 21:41, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

- Is this anything like a Drumstick? 69.95.234.102 (talk) 13:57, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds similar from the description, yeah. 78.151.220.24 (talk) 22:50, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
How can this problem of "frozen ice-cream cones" have been solved in Italy in the 1960s when Drumsticks solved it in 1928 and with the same method even (coating the inside of the cone with chocolate)?Bollinger (talk) 19:18, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Weird definition
editAfter listenning to the commentary on Shaun of the Dead I went and tracked this down... http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cornetto
I'd never heard of the second/third definitions and I come from Scotland... weird. Anyone know if it's legit'? {Darien Shields 17:34, 20 May 2006 (UTC)}
Darien, UrbanDictionary is notorious for having unsourced, messy, or just plain moronic definitions, mainly due to the fact that it's a user-edited site, and people generally don't take the time to make sure something actually exists before adding it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.190.158.11 (talk) 07:25, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Maybe some wants to..
editedit the page and add that cornetto is talked about quite abit throughout Hot Fuzz, as Nicholas Angel (sp?) asks Butterman if he wants a cornetto etc. a few times in the movie.RetroToysRUs 06:30, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, the series of 3 movies with Pegg and Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, an as yet unnamed movie, temporarily called "The End of the World") is called the "Blood and ice cream trilogy" partially in reference to the cornetto references in them.Bollinger (talk) 19:18, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
the recent episode of sky TV's series "moone boy" called "ghost raft" mentions cornetto throughout the show and shows them all eating cornettos. as an American, I only remembered cornettos from my trips to Ireland as a kid and didn't know they were still around. "moone boy" is great with the "readybix" instead of wheatabix and other product references I remember from my visits as a kid. the thing is, I visited Ireland in the 1970's, and I am sure my last visit was in 1982 until I went briefly in 2007. this article says "The adverts ran for ten years during the 1980s and 1990s". my brother and my uncle reworded the cornetto song from the commercial with the guy singing in the gondola. my brother was not with me in 1982, so they would have sung it BEFORE that, so the commercials would have started in the late 70's or in 1980 at the latest, and the show moone boy is set in the 1990's and this article also says the commercial played in the 1990's, so the commercials must have run for much longer than 10 years, maybe more than 15. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.98.204.251 (talk) 08:04, 12 May 2014 (UTC) link to "moone boy" episode "ghost raft" http://www.hulu.com/watch/530285 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.98.204.251 (talk) 08:09, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Alternative names
editThe main article says "marketed throughout the world under various different company names" but fails to mention what they are - JonRB (talk) 15:05, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Added a {{cn}} for that. Dp76764 (talk) 15:24, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Horribly written
editI'm sorry, but it appears to me, just from reading through the article once, that it needs some serious cleanup, e.g. less colloquialism, an editor who understands proper grammar, and a lot more references. Just throwing it out there. 70.190.158.11 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:22, 28 June 2009 (UTC).
